      My last name is CRINGINGLY CLOSE to Horshak. Kids at school started CALLING me Horshak. I played along, and was pretty much KNOWN as Horshak from then until I graduated high school. And yeah, I occasionally did the "OOOH-OOOH-OOOH" thing in class.

  3. In the summer of 70 I drove my 340 Duster to Texas and picked up my cousin at Fort Hood where he just finished AIT. On the way back to Nebraska we stopped at a gas station in a refinery town and paid 19 cents/gallon for gas. Don't remember where likely due to the amount of beer consumed on the trip.

    1. I did navy bootcamp in orlando in august of 1970. My home was in the south plains of Texas. At that time the county I lived in was considered "dry". Had to go over the county line to buy booze.
