Temp is 104 at 4:26 pm

Temperature here in Madera at the moment is 104°F.  On my patio my thermometer says 104. Not like back in Texas at Ex's place, where it is supposed to feel like 109 today. Here it is a dry heat.  Stay in the shade, drink lots of liquid.

A Joke for Saturday

From Wired Right Commentary

Hearing Aids
A man realized he needed to purchase a hearing aid, but he felt unwilling to spend much money.
"How much do they run?" he asked the clerk.
"That depends," said the salesman. "They run from $2.00 to $2,000."
"Let's see the $2.00 model," he said.
The clerk put the device around the man's neck.

"You just stick this button in your ear and run this little string down to your pocket," he instructed.
"How does it work?" the customer asked.
"For $2.00 it doesn't work," the salesman replied. "But when people see it on you, they'll talk louder!"

More Lockdown Coming??

Do you think more lockdowns are coming? I certainly hope not. We can't stand another round.

The Delusion of a Seamless Reopening Is About to be Obliterated

Who Owns Your Body? You, or the Government?

A growing number of legislators in South Dakota believe you do.

Gov. Newsom is a Butthole

California Governor Gavin Newsom just issued a proclamation declaring July 2020, as “California for All Small Business Month.” Yet just last week, ahead of weekend Independence Day celebrations, he ordered beaches closed, ordered the closures of restaurants, wineries, tasting rooms, movie theaters, family entertainment centers, zoos, museums, cardrooms and bars in 19 counties. Newsom also issued an order declaring there would be “no singing or chanting in churches” in the state, and no 4th of July parties or fireworks, and he promised enforcement in the form of his appointed “strike teams,” California Globe reported.

Oh for Craps Sake---Just Let it Go Already

These people want to control us so bad they are not about to quit promoting mask usage. Now they are saying that The Covid may be airborne and can float beyond 6 feet in churches, bars, and other indoor locations. But riots still must be okay. So label your indoor activity a riot or a protest and you will be okay.

Racism is Alive and Well Against White People

I am more than a little bit fed up with this incessant chant of racism and inequality.  These assholes don't want equality, they don't want anything except to be superior and to grind white people in the dust. If that wasn't their goal, there wouldn't be crap like Washington state where they want to give school priority to non white kids so they will have "educational justice."

Commentary: 2020 Will Be the Civil War Election

"This election, put simply, is the first election since the Civil War to be about one thing and one thing alone: the grateful versus the ungrateful. There is no nuance anymore, nor is there any illusion of civility. One side loves America, while the other side loathes it and wants to replace it with something unrecognizable to our heritage."

Question on Mags

I have a question about ammo magazines. How long should I leave one loaded before removing the ammo and loading another one? Does leaving it loaded screw up the spring, or is that an old wives tale?

My shotgun also. Can I leave it loaded without danger of the spring taking a set?

I picked up 3 more california 10 round limit mags yesterday.  All they had in stock. Getting prepared for novembers storm.

Is It Time for HomeSchooling?

President Trump, in his speech at Mt. Rushmore, decried the fact that schools are indoctrinating our children. I agree, I have believed this for years.

So, what to do? I found this article at Weasel Zippers that talks about the NC government website for homeschooling crashed, because it was flooded with notices of intention to homeschool.

I say good deal. The more people that homeschool the more we can get government out of the heads of our kids, and they can learn to think for themselves.

Read that article and let me know what you think.

Covid Death Rate is Lowering

Stanford Doc: COVID Fatality Rate For People Under 45 Is "Almost 0%"

Stanford University's disease prevention chairman slammed using statewide lockdown measures as a response to the coronavirus, saying they were implemented based on bad data and inaccurate modeling.

What Does it Mean for my 401K?

I started out trying to understand this article

But I stopped trying to understand it. Here is the headline that caught my attention:

JPMorgan Concludes The World Is Drowning In Too Much Debt For Stocks To Go Down Again

Looks like some guy at jp morgan wrote an article that scared the hell out of people, saying we need trillions more dollar input by the gov. Then he said nope, market can't go down.

So what I want to know is, how this will affect my 401K?

How Many Cars are in the United States?

An article at Zero Hedge is talking about car fleet sales are predicted to decrease by 56%. Thats a hell of a decrease.

And that makes me wonder, how many cars are in the United States? Everywhere I look, I see used car lots, and new car lots, and they are all chock full of vehicles. Then I look at the streets and I see millions of vehicles being driven around.

So I wonder, why not stop making cars and trucks? A new nationwide industry could spring up, revamping older cars and trucks. Heck, there are enough vehicles around to last us at least a hundred years. Look at cuba, isn't older vehicles all they have?

Michigan is about as fruity as a fruitcake.

The Michigan House of Representatives has passed a controversial bill to microchip humans voluntarily in the state under the guise of protecting their privacy.

Protect their privacy?  Bullshit. More like being able to monitor them even more.
