Well, this is just plain stupid

Scientists Create Liquid-Metal Robot, Apparently Haven’t Seen Terminator 2

"Science is cloning organs, making meat in a lab, creating hyper intelligent robots with human emotion, and in a move I think we all know ends poorly, have been injecting human brain cells into monkeys."

When will the human race learn? Never, apparently.

You think this is like a movie where a million years from now in a galaxy lightyears away the inhabitants of a planet receive a signal from earth that says "Resistance is futile?"

More on my middle class tax refund debit card. And other stuff.

when people are really screwing up an activity that should be fairly straight forward.
You see the way those guys are fixing my car?
Ya, what a clown show.
by MexicoSean March 17, 2005

That's the way i feel about this tax refund bullshit. This should have been a straightforward operation. Send me a check for the money you stole from me and I will deposit that into my checking account.

Easy peasy japanesy.

But no. I told you about my hassle to get the first six hundred of it back. That was thursday or friday of last week.

So yesterday, monday, i drove down to the local credit union atm to get the rest of my money back. Got a hundred left on the debit card. Okay. ATM says $2.50 fee. I click okay. It asks me how much money I want? I say 100 dollars.

Well fuck me runnin the goddamn machine says sorry insufficient funds. I could have got 80 bucks for a 2.50 fee and left about 7.50 on the card. Fuck that.

So i spent about 5 bucks in gas to drive to the nearest credit union where they gave me the full one hundred bucks with no fee. WTF???

Got the money though. So while in town i drive over to America Tire Depot to get tire prices. Find out they are now Big Brand Tire. Never heard of em.The tires on my 99 dakota are cracking badly, and the outside of the front tires are slick. Due to my not rotating the tires often enough. As in never. Maybe a steel cord showing here and there.

Guy looks up the tires, says i got em for $164 each. My eyebrows sprang skyward when i heard that price. He printed out the deal for me, and I looked at it, looked at him, looked at it, looked at him, said thank you and left.

Out the door price tires accessories alignment(for $115 bucks used to be 85) total was $1061.

Ho Lee Fuck. Didn't realize tires had gone up that much. I would like to sell the truck, but with bad tires on it i can't get my asking price of $2500.

So my new game plan is to drop back ten and punt. I am contemplating having body work done on the truck and a new paint job.

Maybe having a shop my grandson knows and trusts replace the intake manifold gaskets, and a couple of the injectors. I can't do that work right now due to reasons.

If I get it painted i won't be so embarrased to have my wife be seen in it. As for me I like my trucks to look nasty. But she don't.

More inverters to review

Here are a couple more inverters I can review.

Harbor Freight Jupiter 2000 watt modified sine wave inverter. I highly recommend this inverter. I used one of these for almost a year with zero problems. If you get one and it's a lemon, let me know and I will quit recommending it.

But the one I got was great. Never let me down a single time. I used it off and on to run a fridge and an upright freezer in my garage. I say off and on. I had to run an extension cord from the inverter thru my living room to the garage. It was a tripping hazard and I couldn't leave it there all the time. Plus my wife wasn't happy with a cord running thru her house.

I became a pure sine wave inverter snob. That's why I quit using the modified sine wave unit. I am now a pureblood, and can't be bothered with the commoners.

Plus I did a lot of reading and discovered modified sine wave inverters can potentially cause damage to electronics. And I didn't want to have to buy a new fridge and upright freezer. One thing I noticed was the light inside the fridge flickered. Open the door and if you were prone to seizures this might have triggered one.

But, on a sidenote, I used 300 watt and 750 watt modified sine wave inverters to power my laptop computer in my truck for approximately 20 years without issue. I would power up the unit in the am and leave it plugged in to the inverter while just sitting in the seat waiting to be used. Then shut it down when I got done for the day. Did no damage I am aware of. And the laptop I am using now I have used since 2011, originally in the truck writing service reports.

While looking up a picture of the jupiter unit, I saw that jupiter now has a pure sine wave inverter made by Jupiter. I might go get one and try it out.

The next inverter I have for review is made by a company called GoWise.  I have not formed a complete opinion of this unit yet. I am leaning toward throw it away and go get the jupiter puresinewave inverter at the moment.

This is a model PS2001, 3000 watt pure sine wave inverter. Purchased in August 2021 so it is naturally out of warranty. Used very little because I have been lazy and have not run a circuit into my garage I could dedicate solely to this unit. I decided not to hook this up to my AC breaker panel, because the neutrals for the fridge plug are tied into all of the other neutrals, in the attic. And I am too lazy to climb into the attic and separate them. Looks like I am just plain lazy.

A big thing I do not like about this unit is the display. It has a power display status in bars. Which does not tell me how much power the unit is drawing. The Giandel 4000 watt unit I reviewed has a display which shows battery supply power in volts, and it also will display the power output in watts. Nice. This GoWise unit display in bars is not very useful in my opinion.

But in any event I have been running a short length of led lights from this unit to light my "patio" area. Pulls much less than one watt of power. Then one day the unit shut off on high temperature and the cooling fans run all the time.  It was only about 70 F that day.

I have periodically turned this unit back on and the cooling fans run continuously even on the coldest days of 32F we have had. Never shut off. Well, I heard them shut off and then immediately restart. The unit supplies good clean 120 vac power at 60Hz, just this little problem.

I emailed the company in Arizona, and got a reply email but I am uncertain if I will continue. I gave them the age and out of warranty status of the unit, and asked for tech support help to troubleshoot the unit, but the first thing they asked for was proof of purchase???

WTF???

So, for the moment, I cannot recommend this unit.

The last unit i will review is the Giandel 1200 watt pure sine wave inverter. I purchased this unit August 7 of 2021 before I purchased the above GoWise unit. My reasoning for purchasing this unit was price. I did not want to spend another 4 to 5 hundred dollars on another inverter. The wifely unit was giving me the old hairy eyeball.

This Giandel 1200 watt unit did not do the job for me at all. I guess it was just plain too small, which i guess is my fault. I had measured the watt draw of the fridge and the freezer when they ran together and I also measured the startup wattage draw of the two when they started together,( I don't remember the wattage draw number, but it was much less than 2400 watts the unit is rated for at surge) and I thought the 1200 watt continuous 2400 watt surge power would work fantastic to power my fridge and upright freezer.

Boy, was I wrong. The first time I plugged the two units into this inverter, it squealed like a stuck pig and shut off. Subsequent tries had the exact same result.

So I uninstalled the unit and shipped it back to amazon, and purchased the above green ugly monstrosity.

I cannot recommend this 1200 watt Giandel inverter.

I hope this review has been helpful to you. If you have questions please email me at fredhorn37@gmail.com

Like spoiled children, liberals never give up when they want something

And here’s how the left sees pickup trucks:

Now the Left Is Coming for Your Pickup Trucks, America

Pickups have evolved greatly over the years. The first ones I can remember were full sized pickups at the time. Smaller than the midsize pickups we have now.

And absolutely dwarfed by the socalled full size pickups we have now. But in my opinion there has never been a more useful tool ever made.

I mean so much can be done with these things. I mean, you can easily get laid in one of these. And you can also, uh, well, that pretty much takes up my repertoire of things to use them for.

Monday. Again.

Fertilizer Shortage Puts World On Verge of Food Crisis

That may or may not be true.

For the few people that read this blog and others, there will NOT be a food shortage. We know how to plan prep grow food for survival.

For billions of others around the world, I don't know that the status quo will change. They are too stupid to feed themselves and they will probably stay that way no matter how much fertilizer is produced. It might be a good thing if they went away.

I guess most people in the world might go hungry. But there are millions upon millions who will not because they are self reliant, not reliant upon government to do it for them.

And there are millions upon millions of people so reliant on government they can't wipe their own ass. Those are the ones who will starve and riot and kill good people. I call those people democrats.

Inverter Review

Over the course of the last decade I have purchased a few dc/ac power inverters. Here is my take on some of them.

VertaMax 3000 watt pure sinewave inverter, purchased from Windy Nation in 2018. Piece of **** company, inverter was okay until it wasn't. When it worked, it worked well. Did the job I asked it to, which was run a refrigerator from a battery system.  Then a month or so after warranty ended the problem started.  The 110 Volt AC output would stop intermittently. It would stop at all of the outlets. Then restart all by itself a few days later. Or maybe an hour later. Then stop again. The only support I got from the company was rude and condescending. I had an electronics repair company check it out, they had it for four months and could not figure out what was wrong with it. Windy Nation would not supply a wiring diagram for the unit and wanted 60% of the cost of a new unit to repair what they said was the "most common problem." Which they said was something they called a mosfet. Something they apparently knew about. The electronics guy checked out the "most common problem" and replaced the parts, but that did not fix the issue. I recommend do not buy this inverter.

The next inverter for review is the Giandel 4000 watt pure sine wave inverter. I bought this unit in october of 2020 and it has worked well for me. I use it to power a refrigerator from a battery bank. The original battery bank is 8 6volt lead acid golf cart batteries. I was running the fridge 24 hours a day from this until the battery capacity started giving out. Now I have the unit on a single LiFePO4 200 amphour battery and I run the unit all day during sunshine and at night I put the fridge back on grid power because I don't understand the LiFePO4 battery capacity yet. And the meter I bought to help me with that has to be manually reset each morning.

But back to the inverter. I have not had a single issue with this inverter.  Well, I have had one problem, but I don't think it was the inverter. It had a shutdown because it had a high voltage input from the DC system. When the sun is big and bright the voltage from the panels gets higher. I think maybe the battery monitoring system shutdown battery input and then the solar panel voltage went to the inverter maybe, and caused a high voltage shutdown of the inverter.

So far the inverter has performed like a champ. And that may be because I oversized it a lot for the job I have it doing. The fridge typically runs 130 watts when it is on. That is way below the size of this unit. The fridge gets up to 560 watts a couple times per day, but the Giandel handles that like a champ. But the dang thing is heavy. I didn't find the weight in the specs at amazon. I mounted the thing on my outside wall, and I placed a couple of L shaped brackets under it to help support the weight, as I was worried it might fall. Thats just me being a worry wart, it probably would not do that. I think if you are looking at inverters, this one might do the job for you.

I have a few more I can review but no more for this post.

I hope this provides some good info for you.

Knife Review

Kubey Momentum Review

As is my habit I periodically visit some of the links on my sidebar. Just now at 3 AM I visited the Knife Informer website, link on the sidebar.

What did the 1770 people have for internet at 3 AM? Some guy riding a horse thru the streets yelling It's 3 AM and ALL is Wellll!

Well here it is 3 AM and Everything SUUcks!

The first article they had was this budget knife review. Go check it out, it looks pretty interesting.

I am not in the market for another knife at the moment but if I was I would give serious consideration to this one.

It's made in china but what isn't these days?

I am just a little bit pissed off. Full of nasty words.

I live in california. Okay don't make the snide comments i've heard em all.

The stupid fuckers in this state keep electing stupid fucking democrats. Jesus H Christ when are you idiots gonna learn?

The stupid fuckin democrats in this state have bought votes with this stupid middle class tax refund. But you know what they did? Instead of sending a check for your refund they sent a plastic fucking debit card from a goddamn bank back in new fucking york or fuckin phillydelfia someplace and you gotta go online and make a goddamn fuckin online account to find out how much goddamn fuckin money you get back from your goddam state fuckin taxes. Which are fuckin exorbitant to begin with.

Fuck that bullshit. And THEN you can only get six fuckin hundredgoddamn dollars a day from the sonofabitch so if you got sixhundred and one goddamn dollars you get fucked in the ass without benefit of lubrication. And if you don't use the approved fucking people to get YOUR money back they charge you a goddamn FEE.

I don't do financial stuff online so I called my credit union and asked if i can bring the goddamn card into a teller and they can transfer the full amount over sixhundredgoddamnfuckingdollars into my account and they said ABSOLUTELY. Ony cost $1.25 for the fee to boot.

Well fuckmerunnin, sixhundredgoddamnfuckindollars is all those cocksuckers would transfer in one sitting. I called the cameldick whore sonofabitch at the credit union and THAT motherfucker is lucky he wasn't sittin in front of me. Oh let me finish what i'm saying before you interrupt me! Well fuck you in the ear goddamnit!!!

I got his goat fuckin supervisor online and told him the situation. Sorry 600 is all you can do. Well then I asked him where do i send the bill for my time, expertise, fuel, wear and tear on my car, insurance etc because of YOUR fuckup now I gotta make another one hour round trip PLUS at least a half hour standing in your goddamn line cause you only got TWO tellers working. Oh, we will not pay something like thaaaat. I'm gettin calmer now so I can slow up on the eighteen letter words.

(And speaking of the car, I got in it and the goddamn 4 wheel drive is engaged and won't disengage. Finally was able to get it to disengage but then drivin down the street the 4 wheel high and 4 wheel low lights were BOTH blinking at the same time. I think the problem is my car leaks water from the rain and I think the electrics got all wet and are causing that issue. I think. And the same goddamn thing is happening with one of my dc/ac inverters at home. 34 degrees at night and the unit shuts off cause it says overheat. I think the moisture is causing it.)

I looked up who my state congress critters are and sent off a strongly worded missive full of the eighteen and twenty letter pejoratives. Wonder when the state PO-lice will show up.

Mr. Vern, you making terroristic threats? In the slammer you go buddy!

Anybody who thinks guvmint can solve a goddamn thing has a head full of petrified dinosaur shit.

I resemble that

Sometime around the spring of 2009 I was doing some work on a small rental house nextdoor to where I used to live. My daughter and her spouse had moved into my old house. My soninlaw comes to the house next door followed by 2 gigantic men in something that resembled suits. Turns out they had some questions for me about my neighbor just to the east of my old place.

His house had apparently been raided by the dea a few days prior. I had no clue that had happened but my neighbors across the street had apparently watched it unfold.

Anyway the dea guys wanted to talk to me because the guy next door had been using MY wifi to connect to the internet. Then he proceeded to use the usps website to send packages full of marijuana across the former usofa to his customers. And they wanted to know what I knew of it. The dea guy said "We never thought you were involved."

Well shit, when someone says that to you, my first instinct is to shit my pants. And it's a good thing I had toilet paper in the house.

After that I made goddamn sure my wifi was as encrypted as it could get.

How To Use A Shoulder Holster: Into the Fray Episode 207

As the movie line goes, I don know nuthin bout birthin babies, miss scarlett.

Never worn one of these, but I recently purchased one to try and see how I like it. I am not a gun guy so this will be a new thing for me. When it gets here I will give it a go.

I consider this to be part of my preps. Gotta use it to get comfortable with it.

Joe Biden has lost SNL

I guess this is what happens. Everybody slowly gets on the hate somebody else bandwagon. Like a bunch of lemmings.  Oh, Oh, this guy hates joe so I gotta hate him now. None of them have the capability of original thought.

Social Security

Remember how social security is raising your pay if you draw the socalled "benefits"?

How can it be a benefit when it is a program I paid money into for fifty plus years just so I could have a little bit of money in my old age? And I do mean little.

I checked my checking account just now and it appears that the feds are in fact doing that very thing. Will wonders never cease!

It appears that the net increase in my "benefits" is 9.6%. I certainly could have used that increase in my working years.

The Plot Thickens

Tractor Supply Chicken Feed Reportedly Causing Egglaying to Stop, Board has Ties to WEF, Jeffrey Epstein

Well, what else is the wef involved in?

High chicken egg prices will force us to resort to other means of feeding. For example, bugs. Chickens eat bugs. Then we're gonna run out of bugs to eat cause the chickens are eating them. Then they're gonna kill the chickens cause they're eating too many bugs.

That's how government works.

Farts

le

Never farted in class that I remember.  My dad told me a story about when he was a kid, back in the late 1920's, he went to church in a horse pulled wagon. His mom and dad were on the seat kids in the back. He squeezed up between them on the seat. After sitting there for a minute he tried to let out a silent one. Didn't work. He said the seat just vibrated like hell and sounded like a giant drum.

I remember working at the boiler company in the 80's. I had extreme gas almost daily. And somedays it was impossible to be in the same room as me.

Me and John Maloon had climbed into a boiler and were crawling along the tubes to get to the rear and I let one go. I didn't realize it but ole John was only inches away. Oh man I thought he was gonna seal me in with my own gas.

Terrible way to die.

Wednesday??

Gonna need this for the insurrection. Or is that erection.

I would like two of these, please

I could purchase one of these and learn how to fly it. Gettin hold of the grenade might be tricky.

I guess I could always come up with a self igniting molotov cocktail to drop on unsuspecting county workers vehicles.

Oops, I shouldn't have said that.

This looks like fun

An old joke but still funny.

Quotes

My middle granddaughter is a senior in school this year. She is looking for a quote to place in the year book.

I suggested TANSTAAFL. There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch.

She will consider it.

Got any good ones I can relay?

Holee Crap. A transmission that you can't check fluid level on?? WTF???

My soninlaw has a 2015 ram truck. The damn thing doesn't have a dipstick to check transmission fluid level. WTF??

Whose stupid idea was that?

Lifetime transmission fluid? Lifetime? How long is your lifetime? You drive the truck for 50 years without changing transmission fluid. Bullcrap. The stuff is doing work and wearing out. Gotta change it sometime or other.

Anyway if you got one of these here is a video on how to change the transmission fluid.

Fuck Democrats
