that how I got my CCW permit. I was about 58 or so and just blew out my back. back then you had to sit with a cop and tell them WHY you wanted it. (Philly) and I told him, I can not fight like I used too. back is shot and I be damned if some punk is going to roll me over. he asked what I plan on using as a carry weapon and I told him a Sig 220. he looked at my 214's ( yeah, have a few of them) and he asked me no 1911 ? nope, the 220 is a better weapon. I got my permit that day. my 220 is a older west German made one. just wish I had a couple more 7 round magazines as I like them better than the 8 round ones. I fully understand what my Dad rold me about never mess with older guys now. we just do not have the time to play with stupid young men. it is so much easier to just shoot the dumb kid and move on.
