Agree. Our small home is adjacent to a growing state university which requires growth. Our neighborhood is scheduled for a future eminent domain, hopefully after we have passed away. One advantage I hear about government eminent domain purchases in Texas is the seller is not obligated to pay taxes on the forced sale. That is unconfirmed though. I like where we live and don't want to move away.
