Now that Chevy has over a Billion dollars worth of junk engines they have to replace because of this, look for them to want a Bail Out because the EPA mileage parameters demanded they use that piss water 0W-20 oil in their engines.
What matter most to democracy is that you can go far on a gallon of fuel. They are not concerned that the equipment will burn itself up after it burns two gallons. That it someone else's problem. Planned obsolescence has reached its crescendo. Personally Im looking for a 20 some odd year pickup that has an air conditioner, a cigar lighter and no computers...

DeleteAt the boat yard we buy 10w30 & 50 in 50 gal barrels & every boat engine gets that, always has. Ain't putting sewing machine oil in anything.

ReplyDeleteTo get a vehicle without a computer I think you will have to go mid 70's or older. Even my 99 and my 03 both have computers.
Delete1986 was the first year Ford put a computer in an F150.
