See the drain plug fitting on the upper right? You would think the threads on that are 3/4" npt. But you would be wrong.
Those are a garden hose fitting. Garden hose? Not 3/4 npt? WWTF??
So another trip to lowes. Why? I'm not gonna use a garden hose as a drain, I am using pvc.
And then they hide the sonofabitch adaptor. I went to 4 goddamn aisles hunting for this effing thing.
Got it done and now I got a couple rust holes in the pan. I let it dry overnight, going down now to cover it in black mastic.

ReplyDeleteI have had better luck with FlexSeal (as seen on TV!) than old school Henry's. it's still only lasts two seasons but it doesn't crack like Henry's.
ReplyDeletesome people run their A/C condensation drains out to trees or gardens. it's free and clear water. i have a dog bowl under mine.
