Roofing woes, and various things.

 That was a weird dream. I would have still been dreaming except I was "awokened? awakened? jerked out of my sleep? by an incoming text.

Roofing guy wanted to know if I was ready to make a move on getting my roof replaced.

Not only no, but hell no. He came to the house to give me a quote in a BMW. Who the hell does that? Wasn't in construction clothes but some kind of office wear. The other two guys looked like they did roofs, and drove up in semi old pickup trucks. And the bmw guy didn't have a tape measure, he used an app on  his phone to get a sky satellite to measure the roof.

That kind of stuff doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy feeling.

Then I had to call his office to remind him I wanted the quote emailed, about 2 days after he said he would send it.

Then several items in the quote said we will provide this much, but if we find more problems it's gonna cost you more money. And he left out a couple of things.

I don't do business that way. You tell me what you are going to do for how much money, and that's it. And we agreed on that while he was there. I don't want to hear we need more money for this, or this is going to cost extra. Fuck that.

I would do this myself except: I need it done in a timely fashion, and I ain't timely these days. I got up on that roof just to put tar paper over some leaks. Up there about an hour and I thought I was gonna die. I mean I just about didn't make it off, I was so pussified.

And now my right knee is giving me fits. Swells up one day and then goes to normal, and hurts at the most inconvenient time. My left hip gives out while I'm walking and I have to watch out I don't go down.

I tell ya I almost feel like I'm a damn democrat.
