Saving penny meme off by quite a bit. 365 days in a year, saving one penny for a year is $3.65 not $36,500 dollars.

That's why it's a meme.
It is a meme for the same people who's math says having 10 Billion dollars means you can give 1 million dollars each to a billion people.... Not even 3rd grade math but the FEELS are correct.
I stumbled onto the clipboard scheme as a young private in the Army in about 1981. Worked like a charm for most of my 3 years in that unit.
I preferred to stride purposely while holding a clipboard. Got some exercise without paperwork.
