This so called medicine industry needs to be burned to the ground. Then maybe a phoenix will rise from the ashes.
Get to therapy, go to check in. They say I owe $419 on an mri. How? That was only a week and a half ago. And since I would only have been charge 450 out of pocket does that mean insurance only paid 31 dollars?
Walk over to mri. Ask why I owe 419 dollars. Answer, I don't owe anything for that, but you owe therapy 437 dollars. WTF?
Walk back to therapy, ask why I owe 437 dollars. She says you don't owe anything. WTF?
Canceled therapy and went and got a breakfast sandwich.
I will pay whatever I owe, but goddamn. At least be accurate about it.

ReplyDeleteWife in hospital about two weeks, early 80s. Bill comes, ovdd 6k. I call, ask for itemized bill. Get it, go oved it, see stuff that never happened. I call, get the guy to go over it with me. I correct the bill. He agrees. Okay, ssnd a new itemkzsd bill. I get kt, call him, point out that I now have documentation that they overbill. You can either shove this bill.up your ass or I'm taking this to the insurance company, and when they start looking at other bills you've sent them, your shit is toast.
