They all say green energy is clean energy. It ain't.

  1. Never mind the fact that the blades on those things are petroleum-based and have a limited lifespan due to fatigue. Then there's the paint covering those towers. How about the "carbon footprint" of the manufacturing process? And what about the transport? There's a huge wind farm near Palm Springs, CA. It's owned by a Swedish company. The components of the wind generators are MADE in Sweden and shipped over here. Imagine the "carbon footprint" of shipping those things from Sweden to Palm Springs! EACH BLADE needs to be shipped on a separate truck from the port in L.A. to the wind farm. The generator itself is its own truckload. The tower is SEVERAL truckloads. How do I know this? Because I commute on the I-10, the interstate that runs from L.A to and through Palm Springs. I SEE these loads from time to time. They're ALL oversize loads. Judging by the speeds of the trucks when they're climbing the Yucaipa grade, the loads are heavy as hell, too.

There is NOTHING "green" about a wind generator. They have their place, as in the example shown in the video. They should NEVER be MANDATED!!!
