What happens if Trump doesn't obey court orders? New spotlight on U.S. marshals
I have been monitoring msn stories for about a month now.
I had to, once again, clean my harddrive and reinstall windows.
This time did not re-download google chrome and I am using the microsoft edge browser. Until I determine if I am going to get another virus. And no, it's not from a porn page.
I have found that the stories I read on msn are almost 100% biased in the liberal democrat asshole direction. So, for the story above, take anything said with a grain of salt.
But it is a good question.
What happens when President Trump does not acquiesce to a court order?
Does the court have any authority to force him to obey?
"John Marshall has made his decision- let him enforce it!" President Andrew Jackson in "Worcester vs Georgia" This disregard of the Supreme Court's ruling eventually led to the eviction of the Cherokees from Georgia AKA the Trail of Tears.
ReplyDeleteNor is this the only such case; another is Lincoln's infamous disregarding of Roger Brook Taney's Habeas ruling on the detention of a Maryland civilian held, but not tried, by Federal military authorities.
Then there are the various rulings on desegregation in the 1950s and 1960s, in which Presidents acted to enforce Federal Court rulings being defied by State authorities.
