That is an impressive video. Something he doesn't talk of is the actual force during impact. Yes, he measures this by deformation of the material, including penetration. But sudden impact will destabilize the drone. Also, not all parts, the rotor blades as example, will be armored. Any optics will be rendered inop.
I believe that the best 12ga for drones would be a 10ga. I don't get to shoot my Ithaca Mag 10 much anymore, drones would be good practice.
