I mean we got it figured out so we could view pics, but goddamn microsoft. And I know other OS work good, but we got what we got.
Win 7 pics are upside down but not in win 10
Windows 7 and Windows 10 handle the Exif Orientation tag differently, affecting how photos are displayed.
Windows 7: Windows Photo Viewer and Windows Explorer ignore the Exif Orientation tag, resulting in upside-down thumbnails and images.
Windows 10: File Explorer and the default image viewer properly obey the Exif Orientation tag, ensuring that photos from smartphones and digital cameras are displayed correctly.
This difference is due to changes in Windows 8 and subsequent versions, which added support for the Exif Orientation tag. As a result, Windows 10 correctly rotates images based on the tag’s information, whereas Windows 7 does not.
Workaround for Windows 7: Upgrading to Windows 10 resolves this issue, as it includes proper Exif Orientation tag support.
