Do You Think These are SloBlo Fuses?

  1. I lived in ANCIENT military housing on the old Hamilton AFB in Marin County, CA. They had actual FUSE BOXES that used those screw-in Buss fuses. My neighbor installed a "windowshaker" air conditioner in his living room but it kept blowing the fuse. He put a quarter under the fuse and screwed it in. The fuse no longer blew. A few hours later, the west wall of his living room no longer existed...

  5. Damn fools. Everybody knows you need a couple 30.06 cartridges to replace fuses.

  6. At the boat plant we did that on the exhaust fans service disconnects on the roof but used thin copper tube. The fuses would blow when starting the fans & it was a pain to get up there. The tubing would melt if there was a problem with the motor & there was a breaker for them in the panel. But that's not what burned the place down.

  7. Those are the fuses that melt the wire making it much easier to recycle said wire thus ensuring the planets health. That's my story etc.
