Tree Limb Loppers

Not quite a year ago I bought a pair of these tree limb loppers, brand name Corona, model SL3364. Got em at Lowes for somewhere around $30.

I have been using them quite a bit, until this last week. I was cutting a branch not much bigger than my thumb and I heard a tremendous crack.

This is what they look like now:

As you would expect I said a few words when this happened.

I thought about trying to take them back to Lowe's, but without a receipt that would pretty much be a foolish task.

So I went to the Corona website and they had a place I applied online for a warranty. I frankly never expected to hear from them. But I'll be doggone if they didn't email me and today I received a brand spanking new unbroken replacement set of tree loppers.

It is nice to see that this company stands behind their products.

  3. Great....now fix the old one so you have two. Is the bit that broke a casting?

Old school tools were better because they were easier to fix.

  4. I have a couple of Corona lawn maintenance items, loppers and pole saws. The giant loppers (no telescoping handles - fixed handle length and large jaws) are heavy and bulky but basically do all my needed cutting without a chainsaw being involved. A go-to and I am confident using them.
