Not quite a year ago I bought a pair of these tree limb loppers, brand name Corona, model SL3364. Got em at Lowes for somewhere around $30.
I have been using them quite a bit, until this last week. I was cutting a branch not much bigger than my thumb and I heard a tremendous crack.
This is what they look like now:
As you would expect I said a few words when this happened.I thought about trying to take them back to Lowe's, but without a receipt that would pretty much be a foolish task.
So I went to the Corona website and they had a place I applied online for a warranty. I frankly never expected to hear from them. But I'll be doggone if they didn't email me and today I received a brand spanking new unbroken replacement set of tree loppers.
It is nice to see that this company stands behind their products.
Good to hear...I have a similar pair but made by Fiskar's.
ReplyDelete'Better than standing in front of them, I guess. YEEESH!
ReplyDeleteGreat....now fix the old one so you have two. Is the bit that broke a casting?
ReplyDeleteOld school tools were better because they were easier to fix.
I have a couple of Corona lawn maintenance items, loppers and pole saws. The giant loppers (no telescoping handles - fixed handle length and large jaws) are heavy and bulky but basically do all my needed cutting without a chainsaw being involved. A go-to and I am confident using them.
