The "inside financing" is a kickback scheme dealers have with financers. We bought my wife a car at a dealer and they didn't want cash or a check. She could only get it using their "inhouse financing", which turned out to be a smalltown credit union. Oh, and it couldn't get paid off until six payments were made.
THANK YOU! This is SOP everywhere in the car business. This is exactly why we switched to car brokers. So far, the only upsell has been extended warranty.

ReplyDeleteIt sounds like the state attorney general's office needs to be contacted. That is definitely false advertising and potentially fraud.

ReplyDeleteI also got screwed by a Texas dealer. I will never ever buy another vehicle from a Texas dealer.
