Recently I had two fans that did not seem to be moving a lot of air.
I had to remove the front covers remove the blades and wash them because the leading edges had lots of dirt and crap on the side. After I cleaned them they performed 150% better than they had before.
Isn't it amazing how clean stuff performs better? Kind of like how your car runs better after you wash it.
Recently I bought a microphone for my computer so I could use the voice to text function on Windows 10.
When the function works it helps me significantly but frequently when the microphone is listening it just quits working like now. I had to restart the sumbitch 3 times.
I think it's just something to do with my computer.

I clean my fan blades and blade covers at the start of every "cooling season," and oil the motor bearings if I can. I've got one of those plastic-bladed, plastic-shrouded table fans sitting in the bedroom. You know; the ones that work for one or two seasons and then just crawl to a stop. I bought that fan when my oldest son was three. He's forty now. It still works as it did when new. A little preventative maintenance can go a LONG WY! It's surprising, how much a little dirt on the leading edges of the blades can affect airflow!
