I don't like the way we vote. We have a SEASON for voting. Like fall summer winter spring. For centuries we had a DAY, one single day, to vote. I would go in the morning, as soon as the polls opened, and cast my vote. Then go to work. And that night the votes were tallied and a winner declared.
But now. Weeks upon weeks upon weeks for people to MAILIN their ballots, instead of getting off their lazy asses to go vote. How hard is it to do that. Answer, not hard at all.

ReplyDeleteAll vote counting delays across America are caused by the same issue. Either eliminate absentee ballots completely, or allow vote counting to begin earlier.
When I first voted by paper ballot at the polling site it one day (election day). The only people who complained were the alcoholics because the gin mills were closed during voting hours.
