Panic as married women turned away from getting new REAL ID before May 7 deadline
I thought this was supposed to be a free country. I thought we had the right to freely travel in this country. I thought that was in the constitution but apparently it is not.

The story at the first link may sound like bullshit, but that is happening right now to a co-worker of my youngest daughter.
She provided a copy of her marriage certificate and dmv here would not accept it. Said it was not real, she had to provide an original.
How the fuck you sposed to do that?
That's gotta be a state by state DMV problem. We live in Kommiecticut and my wife has hers and only had to prove citizenship by birth certificate or passport. Not only did she take my last name almost 42 years ago, but her original birth certificate had her paternal father's name on it, and it was changed to her stepdad when he officially adopted her in the early 1960's. I got mine last time I renewed my CDL in 2022, because I had to in order to renew.
