Joke for Today

While on a road trip, an elderly couple stopped at a roadside restaurant for lunch.
After finishing their meal, they left the restaurant and resumed the trip.
She had left her glasses on the table, and she didn’t miss them until they had been driving for about forty minutes.
By then, to add to the aggravation, they had to travel quite a distance before
they could find a place to turn around in order to return to the restaurant to retrieve her glasses.
All the way back, the elderly husband became the classic grumpy old man.
He fussed and complained and scolded his wife relentlessly during the entire return drive. The more he chided her, the more agitated he became. He just wouldn’t let up for a single minute.
To her relief, they finally arrived at the restaurant.
As the woman got out of the car, and hurried inside to retrieve her glasses,
the old geezer yelled out to her, “While you’re in there, you might as well get my hat and the credit card”.

I Swear, Government has Done Jumped the Shark

American Community Survey

Government has jumped the shark. They are done. They are finished.

Go to the link for this survey that they want me to fill out, which is REQUIRED BY LAW.  Dumb assholes.

In addition to the names, ages, races, sexual orientation and more, they want to know the following:
# bedrooms in your house
how big is your house
how much is your water bill
how much is your sewer bill
in the past 12 months who got married, who had children
do you have a premium for health coverage, how much is it
how much would your place sell for
how many acres is it
how many bathrooms\ ad infinitum

Goddamn dimocrat sunzabitches

The asshole dimocrats in the california senate have banned republicans from being in the capitol building and participating in legislation, theoretically because one repub tested covid positive.  In reality these goddamn sunzabitches were looking for any excuse, and they found one.

Repubs have to vote from afar, on zoom or something, which is illegal to begin with, but they are making the rules.

Melissa Melendez said it best: This is complete bullshit.

Story Here.

Airlines are Dropping Fees for Changing Tickets

Looks like some of the airlines are getting tired of losing customers so they are changing a fee.  Now you may not have to pay to change your travel plans.

Normally in summer, 2 million or more people pass through security checkpoints at U.S. airports each day, but that number hasn’t been above 900,000 since mid-March, the early days of the pandemic.

Area Football: Tulia fends off Floydada; Lockney rolls

Tulia held off a late rally by Floydada to pick up the 28-26 non-district football victory on Friday night in Tulia.
The Hornets led 23-7 at halftime but were outscored 19-6 in the second half. A 53-yard touchdown toss from Quincy Gonzales to Dez Wickware in the fourth quarter brought the score to 28-26, but the Whirlwinds’ two-point conversion try was no good, keeping the deficit at two.
Seth Gore recovered Floydada’s onside kick attempt and Tulia ran out the final 3:12 of game time for the win.
Tulia had 383 yards of total offense, picking up 21 first downs along the way. Zachary Hernandez totaled 85 yards on 24 rushing attempts. Hayden Montgomery had five catches for 109 yards and Brayden Franco three for 78. Montgomery and Franco each had touchdowns to their credit. Travon McCaslin was 12-of-20 for 212 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions at quarterback.

Josh Cienfuegos had an interception for the Lockney defense. Dex Poole had 10 tackles, Miguel Lara eight and Pablo Morales and Rodriguez each seven. Christian Gonzales and Rodriguez each forced fumbles.
SHALLOWATER 26, No. 6 ABERNATHY 6
Sundown proved too much for the sixth-ranked team in Class 3A Division II Abernathy, handing the Antelopes a 26-6 loss at Shallowater on Friday night.
Shallowater led 20-0 in the second quarter before Abernathy could get on the board. Luke Houston brought in a 24-yard touchdown toss from Jess Hoel for Abernathy’s lone score of the game.
Hoel finished with 172 yards on 12-of-23 passing and added 136 yards on the ground. Houston had seven catches for 117 yards. Matt DeAnda totaled eight tackles and Bradyn Daniel five.

Did You Hearr About This?

"Like many in our region, we have voted for Democrats over many decades. We have watched as our constituents' jobs left not only the Iron Range, but our country. By putting tariffs on our products and supporting bad trade deals, politicians like Joe Biden did nothing to help the working class. We lost thousands of jobs, and generations of young people have left the Iron Range in order to provide for their families with good-paying jobs elsewhere. Today, we don't recognize the Democratic Party.

President Trump receives endorsement from Democrat mayors.

Now is the Time to Stock Up on Food and Water

While perusing the web, i ran across a you tube video that tells you 10 things you should buy now.  Talking about the violence that is here now and will definitely get worse before it gets better.

They were saying buy lots of rice, lentils, beans and some other stuff.  I say okay, but what if i don't eat most of that stuff?

I can make myself eat rice, although i don't care for it much.  Now i will eat rice with beans and enchiladas, good stuff.  But white sticky rice at a japanese place, not so much.

So if you are of a mind to prepare yourself for the coming violence which will possibly disrupt the food transportation system,  I say stock up on foods you know you will eat.

If you are interested in prepping, there are numerous blogs out there which will provide you with hours of recommendations.

But always tailor those recommendations to your individual situation.

Think about water.  If these antifa goons start playing really rough they might sabotage the water system in your city. Not that hard to do really. Where I live we have several wells that supply this community with water.  Surrounded by chain link fence, easily cut to gain entrance.  Cut the electrical feed to the pump, go find a place to hide, shoot at whoever comes to fix it then slide away. Down for a couple days at least.

In the meantime you and your family have no water. Think about it, nows the time to stock up on some  bottled h2o.  You should think about water filtration also. When it comes back online it might not be good water. Buy a device called a water bob for your bathtub, lets you fill your bathtub with water not exposed to the elements of dirt and dust  in your domicile. Or dogs and cats.

Things to think about.

Sunday Fun

I visit a blog called Wired Right Commentary every day.  Go over and pay a visit.

The funnies today are shamelessly stolen from that site:

Stumpy Grinder and his wife Martha were from Portland, Maine. Every year they went to the Portland Fair and every year Stumpy said, "Ya know, Mahtha, I'd like ta get a ride in that theah aihplane."

And every year, Martha would say, "I know, Stumpy, but that aihplane ride costs ten dollahs .. and ten dollahs is ten dollahs."
So one year Stumpy says, "By Jeebers, Mahtha, I'm 71 yeahs old, and if I don't go this time I may nevah go."

Martha replies, "Stumpy, that there aihplane ride is ten dollahs ... and ten dollahs is ten dollahs."

So the pilot overhears them and says, "Folks, I'll make you a deal. I'll take you both up for a ride. If you can stay quiet for the entire ride and not say ONE WORD, then I won't charge you. But just ONE WORD and it's ten dollars."
They agree and up they go... the pilot does all kinds of twists and turns, rolls and dives, but not a word is heard. He does it one more time, and there is still no word... so he lands.
He turns to Stumpy as they come to a stop and says, "By golly, I did everything I could think of to get you to holler out, but you didn't."
And Stumpy replies "Well, I was gonna say something when Mahtha fell out ... but ten dollahs is ten dollahs."

One Sunday, sitting on the side of the highway waiting to catch speeding drivers, a State Police Officer sees a car puttering along at 22 MPH.
He thinks to himself, "This driver is just as dangerous as a speeder!" So he turns on his lights and pulls the driver over.

Approaching the car, he notices that there are five old ladies - two in the front seat and three in the back - wide eyed and white as ghosts.

The driver, obviously confused, says to him, "Officer, I don't understand, I was doing exactly the speed limit! I always go exactly the speed limit. What seems to be the problem?"

"Ma'am," the officer replies, "you weren't speeding, but you should know that driving slower than the speed limit can also be a danger to other drivers."

"Slower than the speed limit? No sir, I was doing the speed limit exactly! Twenty-two miles an hour!" the old woman says a bit proudly.
The State Police officer, trying to contain a chuckle explains to her that "22" was the route number, not the speed limit.
A bit embarrassed, the woman grinned and thanked the officer for pointing out her error.
"But before I let you go, Ma'am, I have to ask . . . Is everyone in this car OK? These women seem awfully shaken, and they haven't muttered a single peep this whole time," the officer asks with concern.
"Oh, they'll be all right in a minute officer. We just got off Route 119."

A woman has twins, and gives them up for adoption. One of them goes to a family in Egypt, and is named "Amal." The other goes to a family in Spain; they name him "Juan."

Years later, Juan sends a picture of himself to his mom. Upon receiving the picture, she tells her husband that she wishes she also had a picture of Amal.

Her husband responds, "But they are twins--if you've seen Juan, you've seen Amal."

My Previous Article About Portland is Obviously Wrong

I posted an article that said Portland had gone silent, well that was obviously wrong. Portland is anything BUT silent.  For the 3rd saturday in a row that Trump supporters have rallied there, this time a Trump supporter was shot and killed.

Time to get some on these assholes. They need a Kyle in Portland.

Air Changes in Your Home Can Help Reduce Covid

Bottom Line: For buildings with large windows and high ceilings, opening windows can dramatically increase the indoor ventilation. However for more typical houses and buildings with smaller window, the improvement to ventilation is small minimal. Other approaches such as using HVAC or running an air purifier may be more effective.

Support Kyle Rittenhouse

Someone has started a petition at whitehouse.gov to prosecute the district attorneys who have charged Kyle Rittenhouse with murder.

I saw that and decided why the hell not. So I signed it.

If you would like to sign that petition, here is the link:

Portland Goes Silent

Apparently Portland Oregon has calmed down some since the FBI has started investigating. Strange how that works.

Portland goes eerily silent after reports the FBI is hot on Antifa’s tail

Kyle Rittenhouse

Kyle Rittenhouse is the 17 year old who successfully defended his life against several people who were trying to take his life.

I found a blog called thenewneo.com.  They have an article talking about the story.  Here is an excerpt from one of the comments after the article:
“Pierce Bainbridge founder John Pierce praised Kyle’s strength and resilience. ‘A 17-year old child should not have to take up arms in America to protect life and property.'”
On the contrary: 10USC246 says: “The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age.”
Kyle was, by Federal Law, a well-disciplined member of the unorganized militia. Would that our school systems did their jobs, and prepared all high-school juniors to shoulder that responsibility as well as Kyle did.
