Whoopty Effin Do
Breaking: New Mexico governor's carry ban rejected by federal judge, restraining order granted
Big effin deal, they are going to do as much as they can to go around this.
These people actually believe they have the authority to ban guns.
I do not understand why supposedly intelligent people can not understand plain writing.
The second amendment is clear, it is plain, it is specific.
In addition to that, the U.S. Constitution is the supreme law of the land, no law of man can supersede the U.S. Constitution.
Everyone thinks that governments and agencies can impose gun control laws and regulations. Nothing can be further from the truth.
When each state joined this union, each state had to swear to uphold the U.S. Constitution. That means that each state is subservient to the constitution and is required to follow that law. They cannot violate the law of the constitution simply because they do not like what it says.
Gun control. The only way a gun control law can be made is thru amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Plain and Simple.
No batfe rules, no state governor executive orders, no congressional bill. None of that. Has to be done thru the amendment process, because the U.S. Constitution is the supreme law of the land.
Unfortunately, the whole of the country goes along with the charade of governments having the authority to do as they please. So, we wind up with situations like this.

How can I, as a sheriff, tell him to put his firearms away so he cannot protect himself?
The sheriff of Bernalillo County New Mexico held a press conference and called new mexico governor grisham's ban of guns unconstitutional.
He said he will not enforce that order.
That's good.

Kind of like Sean Connery in that movie The Untouchables??? where he said "What are you prepared to do?" I am asking "What are you prepared to put up with in the name of so called safety and security?"
How can this bitch call herself an american?
She does NOT have the authority to ban carry of firearms in ANY situation whatsoever.
SHE JUST DON'T.
I haven't done corny jokes in a while, so let's try these out

Because the “P” is silent.

5. Where do polar bears keep their money?
In a snowbank.

You push it!

I tell ya, I am just happier than a pig in shit.
I bought my 2003 Dodge Dakota pickup sometime in 2010. I think. Anyway, when I bought it, it did not have a working keyfob. I didn't care I just needed a truck.
So since then I have just used my key to open and lock and whatever. But for some stupid reason this truck only has a manual key lock on the driver door, and does not have one on the passenger side. That is a stupid design I tell you what.
And for the last umpteen years I have just dealt with it. But recently the more times I get out of the drivers side and walk around to the passenger side to get out whatever I put there, and the goddamn door is locked!, I am starting to get some very strange looks when I raise my fists to the sky and start appealing to the gods of remote keyless entry! Whoever decided to not put a keylock on that side should be shot.
So last week I was perusing utube when a video came up that showed a keyfob like the one I have for my truck. And the video was about programming the remote keyfob with a dorman keyfob programmer.
I found several more videos about this, and some people managed to program their keyfob and some it didn't work. But I decided to take the chance on it.
I looked it up on amazon and for my 2003 Dodge Dakota I found Dorman part number 99164, which is a key fob with a digital programming tool. Price was $55. How much does it cost to have someone else program one for you?
I ordered that little sucker, came today. And now I have two, count em two, remote keyfobs that actually work! Hot Damn I'm Happy!
The new one I bought and the old one I have both work now.
Here is a video showing how to use the tool:

Wind Power Generation for the Fail
Low Wind Generation Prompts Texas Power Grid Operator to Declare Emergency to Avoid Blackouts
I am not certain what to think of that headline.
After I got out of the navy in 1976, one of the reasons I did not return to Texas was the wind situation.
When I was growing up in the south plains of Texas I grew tired of the wind blowing all the time. And not just in march either. Seems like the wind blew 24 hours a day 356 days a year. Yes, 356, I think we used to have 9 days a year without wind.
I know, that is an exaggeration. But the wind did blow a lot back then, and with it came the damn dust. I never saw what I guess is called a Haboob. As far as I know we never had one of those.
But damn it used to get dusty. I remember when the wind blew my dad would hook the tractor up to an implement called a sandfighter.
The thing I remember was just a long round tube, I think about 20 feet, with about 3 to 4 inch flat pieces of plate welded to it.(I tried to find a pic, but nothing that looked like that came up.) As it was drug over the ground the plates would dig up clods of dirt. I guess that was supposed to keep the wind from blowing all the topsoil over to the neighboring farms.
As you can tell I have been away from that farm area for a long damn time, about 50+ years. So my rememberer may be a little bit off about the tools used.
Anyway, I don't like the wind.

This is probably just a big "Meh."
Federal Court Rules Against FDA Over Anti-Ivermectin Posts
According to the article, the judge says the fda isn't supposed to recommend or advise.
But I think the judges should have ruled that everyone there overstepped their authority and they should all go to jail.
Or at least be beaten with wooden baseball bats to 1 inch past their lives.
