Gill Dodge in Madera Calif. is a bad place. I have told the manager there I want half of my money back, so I can find a reputable repair shop to fix what gill dodge house fucked up. I finally got my truck back, and they did in fact fix the two oxygen sensor codes I originally went in for. But there are 3 new problems they created and wouldn't address.
I called them Aug. 3 at 11:11 am to find out the status of the repair on my truck, because the new computer was supposed be in last friday, then last saturday, but no one ever called me---again.
On Tuesday Aug 4 I got a call in the afternoon saying the computer never arrived and they had to order a new one, be here friday at noon. I said ship it next day air. They said, Can't be Done!
Thursday at 4:15 pm my phone dings indicating a voice mail. I check it out, at 3:57 pm the guy had called and said the truck would be ready in 10 minutes, they close at 5. I immediately called and finally got thru about 4:25, talked to the other service manager, I wanted to know if they smogged the truck. He went to find the guy, came back and said your truck won't be ready until 10am tomorrow.
So at 9:30 am I called to find out if they had smogged the truck and fixed the flashing abs light. The guy was out and the other service managers response was like Sgt. Schultz, I KNOW NOTHING!
So I get my son in law to come get me about 1 pm. By the way he is driving my 1999 Dodge Dakota pickup with 338,000 miles on it. A 3.9 v6, great little truck. Needs a paint job. He takes me over, I see the guy, is my truck smogged and abs light fixed. He says i have a toner ring problem and i say bullshit, you guys fucked it up when you tried to reprogram the wrong computer you installed. He says they didn't smog it cause all the readiness monitors are not set. I said didn't you drive it, he said no, you drive it and come back wednesday.
I paid the sonsabitches, but shouldn't have. Also, the truck was parked in a spot outfront and the hood was unlatched.
I drove it 10 miles home, checked the readiness monitors, they were all set, i drove to the smog place and got it smogged. Easy peasy. I had called the guy when i got home at 1:30 and left a message for him to call me back. At 4:30 i called him and asked why he didn't call me back. He didn't get the message. Told him i got it smogged and boy was he surprised. "No, you din't".
I called the manager this morning and told him I wanted half my money back. That went over like a lead balloon. I told him about everything, he said I'll call you back. Haven't heard yet from him.
Looks like bureau of automotive repair complaint is coming up. Then maybe small claims court.
