Do you think massachusetts is the only state that did this???

Lawsuit Claims Massachusetts and Google Installed COVID-19 ‘Spyware’ on 1 Million Devices

Wasn't this in the news last year or sometime or other?

I seem to remember hearing about this app being installed without permission, and checking my phone for it.  Checked it just now too, but didn't find anything about exposure.

On a general scale, what makes large guvmint think they have the right to do something like this?

Apparently they do not remember the constitution.

Fourth Amendment

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Secure in persons, houses, papers and effects. That means EVERYTHING that belongs to you, including your phone and your gps location.

The guvmint has NO legal authority to know your location without first getting a search warrant describing that they need to know your location on a certain day at a certain time, said search warrant to be signed by a judge!

This country has strayed greatly from the original intentions of our founding fathers.

It is time we got back to the basics.
