  1. Don't be stupid, that plane had been in service for several years. That was simply a maintenance error. on Southwest's part. Someone forgot a fastener or latch.
    The only reason you heard about it at all is because it was a 737 and the Media is out for any story that they can use to make news about boing (and make Boeing look bad).

    That's like saying the the tire went flat on your 8 year old For and caused a crash is somehow Ford's fault.

    So long as I can drive and don't need a passport, I'm down.

    What is your life worth to you? What risks are you willing to take? Do 500 Boeing jets take off and land safely every day for weeks at a time? You betcha! Do I NEED to be... wherever it is that flight was going to take me? Nah...
