The 4th amendment in our bill of rights: The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
Is the 4th amendment to our constitution dead? Seems like everyday you hear about no knock warrantless entries, people getting their cellphones searched without warrants. And now this video i saw on youtube about 1000 or so safedeposit boxes getting seized. How can our government do this legally?? What happened to particularly describe?

DeleteConsider that the CDC seized rental properties by issuing regs that prohibit the eviction of tenants who do not pay rent.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't that equate to "...seizure..."? A big part of the motivation for this amendment was that British soldiers forced colonists to house them with no right to rent or evict.
