If he sues in a court with an impartial judge, he has a good chance against some of those the slandered him. Regardless of winning, he has a lot of money to put substantial dents in the pockets of those foolish enough to think they can harm others with impunity. Law suits are expensive, attorneys love to make money, and many celebrities aren't nearly as wealthy as they think they are.
