An advertisement I keep seeing.

600 Watt 24 Volt Monocrystalline Solar Panel Kit w/ 40A MPPT Charge Controller

At least 60% of the webpages I visit have the advertisement I just placed a link to above. This seems like a very good price for 600 watts of solar panel and associated charge controller.

With this setup you will need two more things. You will need a battery system and a pure sine wave inverter.

With these items you can power a fridge, or a freezer. You can run your computer setup, or a tv system. You can power a shitload of lights if you want.

Or not.

But as I've said before, I believe you should consider making at least part of your own electricity.

can one use this system to power a 220V water well pump?

    1. This particular one is not large enough, probably. Depends on the horsepower of the pump. Volts x amp draw equals the number of watts to run the pump. Starting current is always gonna be higher which means wattage has to be higher. The pure sinewave inverter will have to be a 220 volt inverter. Not sure how many batteries will be needed, but direct current well pumps are made which can run directly off the panels.

    2. Hi Ex. Check out this you tube video, looks like there are at least 7 parts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1rrgxM9Nn8
This guy sounds like he knows what he is talking about when it comes to running a well pump from solar.
