What's that old saying? When you have seconds to live help is only minutes away?

That's not denigrating the first responders, that is just a fact of life.

All first responders are almost always minutes away. Rarely are they on scene when you have your emergency.

What that means is you need to be your own first responder. Your own police, firefighter, emt, prowrestler, pro kickboxer etc.

Especially in light of the fact that russia russia russia and china and iran are hacking our infrastructure and phones and all our computer systems.

First responders are good at their jobs, but they can't instantaneously respond to your emergency. But in a lot of cases, YOU CAN respond instantaneously to your own emergency. Not all certainly, but in many you can.

Think about your self and family. What can you do to become better able to help yourself until first responders arrive?

Training, obviously. Learn some self defense, learn some emergency medical techniques. Get a couple of home fire extinguishers, and one for the car too.

With all the cyberattacks going on, learn to be your first and best first responder.

I have to remove the carburetor from this type of motor. It will not start, and has good gas. I sprayed Brakleen into the carb. It will start on brakleen, but will not continue running. So remove the carburetor. I tried.

I could not figure out how to remove the choke linkage. I had an 8 pound sledge hammer waiting in the wings to take care of the linkage problem. I stepped back, drew a breath, put down the sledge, and looked up this video on you tube.

Now tomorrow I will do it again.
