My daughter sent me this pic of the December consumer price index:
She said she thought this food price inflation is already happening, and i think i agree with her. Seems like every time i go to the store, prices are increasing.
Are you seeing increased prices in your area?
They're not only sneaking the prices up, but they are also shrinking the amount in the container in some instances.
ReplyDeleteI went into a Dollar Tree to get a few "survival" type items and one I usually get is their "spam" knock-off to stash back for storm related blackouts. Normally, regular size, comparable to the real spam product.
This go 'round, the can they offered was less than half the size of the normal can for the same buck price. Naaa...not going that route.
I have noticed that also. But they have been doing that for a few years now. I buy spam to keep for preps, also have bought some of that mountain house camp food. That stuff isn't too bad.
Delete3/4" cdx plywood , one year ago, about $25. Today, same store, $44. Same thing with dimensional lumber.
