About 20 years ago I had a Kentucky Colonel explain to a group of us that Maker's Mark was not technically a bourbon because it used wheat as one of its ingredients. In trying to research today, it looks like the Maker's Mark Lobby this had the definition of bourbon redefined as I seem to recall having verified the colonel many years ago.
