Conagra recalls nearly 2.6 million pounds of canned meat and poultry
That is a lot of vienna sausage. For those of you who don't like or eat the stuff it won't be a problem.
I happen to like vienna sausage, mainly for a snack item, and so I will be careful of which cans I purchase now.
I prefer the original style, not the flavored ones.
But if you purchased this as a food prep item I think it would be prudent to check your cans.
My Vienna sausage stash is right next to my Spam stash...I'm good.
ReplyDeleteI keep eating my stash up.
DeleteNow they want our Vienna sausage & potted meat, over my dead body.
ReplyDeleteAmen to that.
DeleteThanks for the tip. If it was mentioned in the media, I completely overlooked it. Those cans are handy field rations, a couple of slices of bread or a pair of tortillas ( round metal Danish cookie containers are handy for carrying in a pack and are mouse - ant proof) and you got a quick snack.
ReplyDeleteThats a good idea for the container. I got several of those laying around.
