My daughter and I drove thru this area about two and a half weeks ago.

 Deadly Texas Wildfires Scorch Over 1 Million Acres, Kill Thousands of Livestock, Destroy Crops

I don't know about now, but a couple days ago the town of Fritch had all of its gas to the town shut off.

I think over a million acres have been burned so far.
