This Kind of Highlights Why Centralized Energy May Not Be a Good Idea.

Spire Gas Company Warns St. Louis Customers of Potential Outages this Winter After Courts Block Pipeline from Illinois to Missouri

Having centralized energy dispersal systems does not seem, to me at least, to be a good idea any longer.

Case in point is the link above. This pipeline has been operated under emergency use which ends dec. 13. What are the people who rely on this fuel supposed to do for winter heating?

They can't magically start using wood heat. Not in an apartment or house not already setup for that. Not enough wood to go around anyhow. Might be good for population control though, because all of the environmentalists would have heart attacks if every one started burning wood.
