Heh...it's just opposite with me...If the wife volunteers to "get a few things" for me, I have to get pictures of what I want, or she will substitute... "well, they didn't have those, so I got these" "They were out of that, so I got this" "I couldn't find any" I have learned my lesson. If I want something, I have to get it myself. I would have to agree with Jeanne though, most men have no clue because? they don't cook...
I let my wife do the grocery shopping. I used to ask her to pick up stuff for me when she went out, but I broke myself of that habit, as she would continuously "substitute" and wonder why I got frustrated with her choices.
I have been married to my wife for 43 years and learned long ago to let her do the shopping and cooking. She is from a Navy Family and learned from her mother how to be frugal and also how to be a good cook and baker.

ReplyDeleteHusbands and wives of our age were raised that way. I always thought it was a good way.
