Holee Crap. A transmission that you can't check fluid level on?? WTF???

My soninlaw has a 2015 ram truck. The damn thing doesn't have a dipstick to check transmission fluid level. WTF??

Whose stupid idea was that?

Lifetime transmission fluid? Lifetime? How long is your lifetime? You drive the truck for 50 years without changing transmission fluid. Bullcrap. The stuff is doing work and wearing out. Gotta change it sometime or other.

Anyway if you got one of these here is a video on how to change the transmission fluid.

  1. That shit has been around for at least ten years now.
It's about as brilliant as putting the starter UNDERNEATH the intake manifold....

    1. I was watching south main auto on youtube and he changed a starter under the intake. My jaw dropped. How stupid is that. Having a shop change this fluid is exorbitantly expensive. But I don't have time right now to help him. He found a place that will do the job for $275, a mechanics garage. He called an oil change place, and those fuckers wanted $500.

  2. All my Toyotas have been that way with no issues. Traded in a 2005 4Runner with 268,229 on the original fluid and it was still working just fine. My 2007 Tundra has 168,500 trouble free miles on it, and the wife's RAV-4 is up around 95,000 miles.

    1. My 2003 dodge dakota has 270K on it, original fluid. It does have some shifting issues, but I am not going to change it, at least at the moment.
