  1. NOTAM system went down, which means pilots can't fly until all significant NOTAMS have been reviewed. Safety, don'cha know. Regulations, even.

The NOTAM (Notice To AirMen) contains safety bulletins, problems about where you're at, where you're going, and any problem areas you need to avoid when flying. This applies to all commercially-operated aircraft in the US. No review, no fly.

If my guess is correct, the extremely antiquated (old equipment and software) system crashed or Just Didn't Work - caused by who knows what. Maybe viruses, DDoS attacks, or just plain Stoopid People running it.

All that money the Gubmint shoveled at the airline industry, and they can't even keep their own systems updated!

These Keystone Cops are in charge? May God help us all...

    1. Well, God helps those who helps themselves. Maybe we should help some of these folks to the gallows. You think NOTAM is safe now or maybe the rooskies hacked into it??
