 Kevin McCarthy has been ousted as speaker of the House. Here's what happens next.

Well holy shit they did it. This is the first time in history.

Now what.

Some guy named Patrick Henry is now speaker pro tempore and they gotta elect a new speaker.

If the republicans know what is good for them, but mostly good for the american people, they will ask Gaetz and the others who they want as speaker of the house, and elect that person mosh skosh. Right away even.

If mccarthy had done what he agreed to do in order to get elected speaker, he would still be speaker and we wouldn't have this mess.
