I like to read, and I read a fair amount online.
The link above is to a short story/short novel that I am currently reading.
It is a well written story that I think you would enjoy.
This starts with a young man and his hot rod car in the 60's.
The part I am currently at is about the inflation we are currently having and what the main characters of the story are doing to combat the situation.
This is indeed a very good story. I originally read it about two months ago. I've been frequenting the Timebomb2000 website for several months ever since someone (possibly you?) posted a link to the main site and to the "Up On Hartford Ridge" story there.
ReplyDeleteMy only real complaint about the site is that the registration on it had been shut down. I have tried multiple times, including following the send an email method in one of the Admin's postings. Recently the register link in the sign in has been completely removed.
There are several excellent authors on the site, including a couple who have blogs some of your readers would likely recognize.
I did post a link to Hartford Ridge some time ago. That is a good site, but like you I think it is probably not monitored anymore. I am about 1/3 of the way thru the story at the moment. I have seen your comments at PAW boards, are there others you have found that you like?

Has several types of fiction, including some PAW.
MotherHen aka Kathy In Florida has a lot of stories here, several of which are completed here, but are incomplete on TB2K.
I'm sure that I am missing some, but I have way too many bookmarks that are not very well organized. I've been spending a lot of time reading while recovering from an extended illness. I'm glad I was able to take my tablet with me when I had to spend several days in the hospital. I would have been bored to death since I don't watch television anymore. I used to work in TV and radio. I know firsthand how full of crap most of the available programming is, and also how easy it is to bias a news story. Been there, done that.
Yep, I quit watching tv years ago. Here is one you might check out if you haven't been there already: http://web.archive.org/web/20071021053129/http://frugalsquirrels.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=forum;f=64
DeleteThanks. I have seen multiple references to this site, but none of the links were valid. Yours works.
