I have a question for you prepper types out there.
Has anyone bought and/or used the bread in a can?
Also, the canned butter and canned cheese?
I have been thinking of adding some of each to my preps, but before I do I would like to know if they are worth it? And they are expensive enough I prefer not to buy some to try out.
So I am reaching out to you guys to see what you think.
Thank you for your help.
The brown bread is delicious!
ReplyDeleteThat's good to hear. Thank you!
DeleteYea, I will second the brown bread. It is really good.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteB & M Brown Bread is good toasted with creamy peanut butter... don't know about the butter, but, if it is real butter and is salted it should be good. Hard to screw up butter, but I am sure it has happened.
ReplyDeleteThanks Cederq
DeleteIt is excellent, they also make some with raisins, which is also quite good.
ReplyDeleteFrom all the comments, sounds like I am going to order some.
DeleteOver here, we have the German Dosen-bistro versions and all are quite good (I prefer the rye bread for some reason). I've also tended to keep a few tins of Tropical Sun (Jamaican) cheese, which is arguably better than any 'brand' cheese, though not as good as the real thing (I wont mention my addiction to Tropical Sun Solomun Gundy though)..
ReplyDeleteI've used both on expeditions (for forward and emergency caches) and used some ten year old stores when I ran out of the current, and they were still good.
If I could find a supplier for Yoders here I'd be a happy man (a man 'needs' bacon occasionally, even if he's busy 'surviving').
Glad to hear that most of the comments are favorable.
