2 Tigers Test Positive For COVID-19 At ZooTampa; Under Quarantine

"At this point, we are unsure how the vaccinated animals got the virus"

"The zoo's animal care team works rigorously with many of the animals to allow our medical team to conduct tests such as the nasal swab required for testing with the voluntary participation of the animal,"

Voluntary? My sweet ass.

  1. Maybe I'm missing something. Now, I've Been to the doctor, I have,, but not to find out if I'm sick. I'm one of those people who go to the doctor WHEN I'm sick. Maybe, because usually, I'm just gonna survive it. So I guess that is why I'm confused.
Are they testing animals for covid, when the animals don't appear to be sick? And, if so, WHYYYY?
They do understand the false positive rate is enough to not trust the tests, right?

  2. Well, dangitt, I forgot part of what I was going to say.
How do you describe the interaction between animal and person who is doing the test? I would agree it's voluntary if the animal walks up to the cage and stands there while the swab goes in the nose. If it takes equipment or more than one person, I'm probably not going to be able to call that voluntary..
Unless you're using voluntary like this...

The hospital requires all employees to either get the jab or get fired. If you get fired you can't get unemployment.

So, twenty percent of the employees
    Voluntarily quit.

    1. So,I'm thinking if the tiger refuses the test and the jab, they're gonna fire him. So where does he go? Back to india?
