Regarding the pressure of handshaking, I knew a guy whose normal handshake would crack the bones in your hand. The first time I ever shook his hand he cracked mine. Unintentionally of course. But his grip was the strongest I personally have ever seen.

Most folks who squeeze like that when they shake are deeply insecure and feel they need to gain the upper hand with their shake. Secure men shake with a firm but not destructive handshake. Then there are men who shake with a grip that feels like wet oatmeal.

DeleteMost full grown men can squeeze hard enough to hurt. Must truly grown men are not so immature that they would do this; it’s simply childish and insecure.
