You don't have to cut holes in your house if you don't want. Come up with a design that lets you fit it into a window opening.
I have often wondered about simply placing black ABS pipe inside the window frame. Might look like crap but it should produce heat when the sun is out.
My brother covered his front porch with plastic sheeting, placed dozens of milk jugs filled with water, and made a substantial cut in his utility bill. The milk jugs would retain heat, and the warm porch was a buffer from the outside cold.
ReplyDeleteYep, that's the way to do things. With a little ingenuity, heating bills can be decreased substantially.
